As your Republican Candidate for County Commissioner of Fayette County Post 1, I am counting on your vote. Early voting begins Monday, October 17, 2016. The primary election will occur November 8, 2016. I am asking for your support. My campaign slogan is VISION FOR FAYETTE! My campaign is for Post 1 of the Fayette County Commission. This is the first time that this seat will be filled. The district’s lines are essentially the middle part of Fayette County and include northern Peachtree City, Tyrone and western Fayetteville.
Over the years, I have served Fayette County in a variety of leadership roles. I have served as President of the Fayette County Bar Association. I served as President of the Peachtree City Rotary Club. I have been on the Board of Directors for the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce. I was appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue to serve on the Griffin Judicial Circuit Indigent Defense Committee. I also served as a Fayette County Commissioner from 2007-2010. I have lived in Fayette County since 1973 and graduated from Fayette County High School in 1977.
I currently have a broad practice representing individuals in a variety of legal matters. I was formerly a partner in the Peachtree City law firm of Webb & Lindsey. I was the prosecutor in the Municipal Court of Peachtree City. In July 1997, I was appointed Judge Pro Hac Vice of the State Court of Fayette County. Soon after, I was appointed as an Associate Judge in the Municipal Court of Peachtree City. And in January 2004, I became the Chief Judge of Peachtree City. I stepped down from the judge position when I became a County Commissioner.
